Timothy Dale Whitley, age 65, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 9:04 am Sunday, July 17, 2022, at his home.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Friday, July 22, 2022, at the Cornerstone Baptist Church of Hannibal. Pastor Jason Hargraves will officiate. Private family burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery.
Visitation celebrating Timothy's life will be held 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm Thursday July 21, 2022, at the Cornerstone Baptist Church of Hannibal.
The family is being served by the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel of Hannibal.
Timothy was born on October 14, 1956, in Hannibal, MO the son of Milton and Almarine (Tucker) Whitley.
He was united in marriage to Melissa Drennan on July 27, 1991, in Hannibal, MO.
Survivors include his wife, Melissa Whitley of the home; three sons, Jacob Whitley (Rachel) of Hannibal, MO, Ethan Whitley (Shay) of Monett, MO and Elijah Whitley of Hannibal, MO; his father, Milton Whitley of New London, MO; two brothers, Kenneth Whitley (Lisa) of New London, MO and Kelly Whitley (Karen) of Atlanta, MO; four grandchildren, Karter Whitley, Eliza Whitley, Gideon Whitley, and Miriam Whitley; father and mother-in-law, Bob and Tess Drennan of Hannibal, MO and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Almarine Whitley and a nephew Jeremy Whitley and Diane Whitley.
Timothy graduated from Hannibal High School in the class of 1976.
Professionally Tim worked as a heavy equipment operator for Continental Cement for several years.
Tim was a "jack of all trades". Some of his favorite past times included hunting, fishing and drawing. He also enjoyed trying his luck at finding the big batch of mushrooms. Tim was a fan of Harley Davidson's, Big Foot shows and old western movies. If you needed to find Tim, you could usually find him working and if you needed help with anything…you bet! Tim found joy in helping others. He cherished the time spent with his children and grandchildren.
Timothy was a faithful member of Cornerstone Baptist Church of Hannibal. If you asked Tim how he was doing his answer was always “I am blessed!”
