Roger Pittman Obituary

Roger Pittman 65, of Hannibal, MO. passed away at 7:28 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2017, at his residence.

Graveside services with full military honors provided by the Emmette J. Shields American Legion Post 55 will be held at 2:00 Monday, May 22, 2017, at the Holy Family Catholic Cemetery. Fr. Mike Quinn will officiate.

Private family visitation will be held at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.

Roger was born December 17, 1951 in Hannibal, MO to Donald J. and Barbara Mae (Brown) Pittman.

Survivors include one daughter, Kelly Bowling (Jeff) of Geneseo, IL; one son, D.J. Pittman (Dianna) of O'Fallon, MO; one brother, John D. Pittman of Columbia, SC; two sisters, Donna M. Blue of Edwardsville, KS and Lisa A. Greathouse (Jack) of Hannibal, MO; six grandchildren,
Kayla, Emma, Alice, Ellarie, Grayson, and Leland; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Pittman was preceded in death by his parents.

Roger graduated from Hannibal High School in 1970. Following graduation he served his country in the United States Air Force. Roger had previously worked for BNSF Railroad. More recently he worked as the property manager at the Quincy Mall before his retirement.

Roger was a member of the Emmette J. Shields American Legion Post 55. He was an avid golfer, he also enjoyed fishing and camping.

Mr. Pittman was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Emmette J. Shields American Legion Post 55, in care of the Smith Funeral Home and Chapel.
