Mary Louise Wilson, age 87, of Monroe City, MO passed away on Monday, May 4, 2020, at Monroe City Manor.
Graveside services and burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 7, 2020, in the Grand View Burial Park. Rev. Steve Goughnour will officiate.
The family is being served by the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel of Hannibal.
Mary was born on July 18, 1932, in Hannibal, MO the daughter of Van and Ethel (Chaney) Lefever. She was united in marriage to Edgar F. Wilson on January 21, 1951, in Withers Mill at Providence Baptist Church. He preceded her in death on April 28, 2014.
Survivors include her son Kenneth Wilson of Elsberry, MO; special friends, Dick and Judy Sebers of Monroe City, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death her parents and husband.
Mary graduated from Hannibal High School in 1950, and after marriage worked as a farm wife and homemaker all her life. She was proud of her work ethic for helping her husband around the farm and taking care of her family.
Mary was a talented cook and in her free time she enjoyed tending to her beautiful flower beds, and collecting antique's especially crystal and heirloom dishes. In her later years, Mary enjoyed the companionship of her dog "Noel". Mary's biggest love was her family and friends and the time spent together.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Loving Care Hospice or Providence Baptist Church, in care of the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.
