Mary Louise White

Mary Louise White, age 83, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 10:41 pm Monday, July 24, 2023, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.  

Graveside services and burial will be held at 9:00 am Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Mike Mitchell will officiate. 

The family is being served by the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel of Hannibal.

Mary was born on September 17, 1939, in Moberly, MO the daughter of Thomas and Virginia (Howard) Welch.

She was united in marriage to Arthur C. White on December 12, 1957, in Hannibal, MO. 

Survivors include her husband, Arthur C. White of the home, children, Arthur White (Susan) of Hannibal, MO, Tangela Rickard (Larry) of Hannibal, MO, Randall White (Cristie) of Jay, OK, Samuel White (Teresa) of Palmyra, MO, Pam Davis (Gary) of Palmyra, MO, Mary Mitchell (Mike) of Hannibal, MO and Christina Simerl of Hannibal, MO, brother, James Welch (Rose Ann), sisters, Rose Rickard and Allene Nelson.

Other survivors include twenty- two grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. White was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Welch and sister, Betty Mudd.

Mary spent many hours painting, tending to her flowers, watching the birds and playing with her cat. A very spiritual lady, Mary could be found listening to gospel music and watching Carol Roberts on Sunday mornings.  One of Mary's favorite things to do was pestering her husband.  She loved spending time family, especially with her grandchildren.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mary was a Christian by faith.

Pallbearers will be Tony Rickard, Tim Wisdom, Nathan White, Arthur White, Randall White and Sam White
