John "Rusty" A. Bowen, II

John "Rusty" A. Bowen, II age 65, of Hannibal, MO passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.  

There are no services planned at this time.  Burial will be at a later date in the Grand View Burial Park.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel of Hannibal. 

John was born on May 6, 1956, in Hannibal, Missouri the son of John "Red" and Johnna (Schadey) Bowen.

Survivors include a son, Jesse Bowen of Hannibal, MO; brothers, Kelly Bowen and wife Kelly of Hannibal, MO and John W. Bowen of Breese, IL; and grandson, Cameron Bowen.

In addition to his parents, Rusty was preceded in death by a brother, Terrill E. Bowen 

Rusty worked as a equipment operator for BNSF Railroad for several years before his retirement.

Rusty enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.  In his younger years he raced motocross and had a good aim when it came to trap shooting.  Rusty's biggest love was his family and friends.  He cherished the time spent with his son and especially his grandson.

Mr. Bowen was a Christian by faith.
