Howard Wayne Brothers, Jr.

Howard Wayne Brothers, Jr., age 50, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 8:36 pm Saturday, August 12, 2023, at SSM St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles, MO. 

A visitation celebrating Howard's life will be held 2:00 to 4:00 pm Thursday, August 17, 2023, at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel with a sharing of memories at 4:00 pm. 

Howard was born on August 27, 1972, in Hannibal, MO the son of Howard and April "Genie" (Foster) Brothers.

Survivors include wife, Amanda Brothers; father, Howard Brothers, Sr. and stepmother, Dana Brothers; children, Howard Wayne Brothers, III, Carl Wayne Brothers, Kayden Brothers, Summer Marie Brothers and Lillian Jenette Brothers; two brothers, Adam Brothers and Daniel Brothers and sister, Tela Epley. 

Also surviving are his foster parents, Ron and Kim Wasson; father and mother-in-law, Carl and Carol Tate; foster siblings, Salena Wasson, Ronnie Wasson and Joshua Wasson, several nieces and nephews and foster brothers and sisters.

He was preceded in death by his mother, April "Genie" Foster; two sisters, Bridget Brawley and Tammy Gortney, two brothers, Jerry Bremmer and Duane Pettitt and one niece, Marian Brothers.

Howard worked as a laborer in factory work and tree service.

Howard enjoyed the simple things in life. Some of his favorite past times were fishing, camping and kayaking, or anything to do with the outdoors. The most cherished times were spent with his children and family.

Howard attended the United Pentecostal Church of Palmyra.
