Gerald "Jerry" Lee Foubester, age 83, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 6:57 am Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Friday, July 14, 2023, at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel. Rev. Tim Goodman will officiate. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery.
Visitation celebrating Jerry's life will be held 11:00 am until the time of the service Friday at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.
Jerry was born on May 21, 1940, in Hannibal, MO the son of Raymond and Margaret (Clancy) Foubester.
He was united in marriage to Judith Grisham on June 7, 1959, at Calvary Baptist Church in Hannibal MO.
Survivors include his wife, Judith of the home, three daughters, Lori Sanders of Hannibal, MO, Tammy Lieurance (Jim) of Hannibal, MO and Jerri Kaye Dunn (Wilber) of New London, MO, brother, Francis Foubester (Dorothy) of Hannibal, MO, brother-in-law, Albert Grisham of Nebraska; five granddaughters, Amanda Curless, Alicia Deming (Jason), Michelle Webster (Daniel), Heather Savage (Charles), Sarah Ritter (Steven) and grandson, Adam Dunn (Mary).
Also surviving are nineteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister, Margaret Ileen Foubester and great-granddaughter, Alexis Webster.
Jerry graduated from Palmyra High School and then entered the workforce.
Professionally Jerry worked as a truck driver for Kohl Wholesale and later in the warehouse before his retirement.
Mr. Foubester was a member of the Teamsters Union and the Moose Lodge, where he served as Governor. Spending time farming cattle with the company of his brother is something he looked forward to as well as going to the cattle auctions. One could often find Jerry with the t.v on trying to keep up with the world news or the latest Ag news on RFD t.v. Jerry and his family enjoyed camping at Woodzy Acres, visits to Branson and the Lake of the Ozarks were also favorite places to travel to. The most cherished times were spent with family, especially his grandchildren.
Jerry was a member of Clover Road Christian Church.
Pallbearers will be Adam Dunn, Jeff Foubester, John Foubester, Adam Dunn Jr., Jackson Curless, Clayton Deming and Charles Savage.
Honorary Pallbearers will be his great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Antioch Cemetery, in care of Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.
