It is with great sadness that the family of Dori Kay Jackson would like to inform you that she passed away February 2nd, 2020 at Willow Care Nursing home in Hannibal, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents Clyde Alger and Alsa Leona Whittney, Charolette Llmas and Bonnie Lee Gardner.

Surviving are her siblings, Carol Henwood, Arlyse Alger, Linda Maas and Bobby Lee Alger; her daughters, Andrea Bartos, Fiancé Andrew Ferro, Nicole Potter Matthews and husband Jay Matthews; grandchildren,  Blake and Parker Matthews.

Dori lived life to the fullest and never met a stranger. She was known for her smile and infectious personality. People and serving, were her passions.  She loved with her whole heart not only her family, but the patients she served over the several decades she spent nursing as an LPN. Although divorced she and her good friend and ex-husband Joseph Jackson remained close and took good care of each other until her passing.

She was also a widow which only her closest friends knew, she took great care of her husband Joseph Bartos until his life ended at the early age of 62 from Alzheimer's.

While taking care of 2 girls and her husband she obtained her LPN license to become a nurse so she could take care of others.

Please join us in remembrance and celebration of her life 3 PM Friday, February 7th at 1206 Center St. Hannibal, MO 63401
