David Ezra Finlaw

David Ezra Finlaw, age 59, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 7:10 am Friday, February 26, 2021, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.  

A memorial service will be held 6:00 pm Thursday, March 4, 2021, at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.  

Visitation celebrating David's life will be held 4:00 to 6:00 pm Thursday at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.

Those attending the visitation and service are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing.

David was born on July 29, 1961, in Hannibal, MO the son of Vernon and Dorothy (Jacobs) Finlaw, Sr.

Survivors included his father, Vernon Finlaw, Sr. of Hannibal, MO; children, David A. Finlaw (Stacy) of Shelbina, MO and Richard Finlaw of Hannibal, MO; brothers, Vernon Finlaw, Jr, Larry Brown and Larry Sapp (Estella) all of Hannibal, MO; grandchildren, Kaden Anderson Finlaw, Dravyn Finlaw, Aurora Finlaw and Anastasia Finlaw; nieces, Nikki Sapp  and Stephanie Miller; and nephew, Randy Brown, Jr.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Finlaw; stepmother, Melody Finlaw; and brother, Randy Brown.

David graduated from Hannibal High School in the class of 1980.  He previously worked at American Safety and Burns Security.

In his free time, David enjoyed sitting on Broadway at Central Park with his friends watching the cars drive by, riding his motorcycle, watching dirt track racing and watching picking shows on Youtube.  David loved watching any Christmas movie with Frosty the Snowman in it, and also enjoyed eating his cheese puffs.  David's was a member of the All Bikers Association and was a proud supporter of  the Shiloh Christian Ranch and St. Judes.  David,s biggest love was his family. He enjoyed family BBQ's, holiday's, birthdays and special occasions spent with them, especially his grandchildren. 

David attended Standing On The Rock Church.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Kaden Finlaw, Dravyn Finlaw, Kevin Newell and Dawn Newell.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel to assist the family with funeral expenses.
