William “Gaylord” Winders, 85, of New London, Missouri, passed away October 23, 2026. A devoted husband, father, grandfather and public servant, he built a life centered on faith, family, friendship and community.

Visitation celebrating Gaylord's life will be held Thursday, October 29, 2026 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel of Hannibal, Missouri.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, October 30, 2026, at the Smiths Funeral Home & Chapel. Gaylord's nephew Pastor Adam Jacobs will officiate. Burial will follow in Barkley Cemetery in New London, Missouri.

Memorial contributions may be made in Gaylord’s memory to the National Organization for Disorders of the Corpus Callosum or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
