William W. Holstine, age 62, of Hannibal, MO, passed away at 2:28 pm Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at his home.
Cremation arrangements are being handled by the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.
No services are planned at this time.
William was born on May 3, 1962, in Hannibal, MO the son of Whitney R. and Catherine A. (Conner) Holstine.
Survivors include his brother, Robert Holstine of Hannibal, MO and nephew, Stephen G. Holstine.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother,Thomas Holstine.
William graduated from high school and went on to honorably serve his country in the U.S. Navy. He served aboard the USS Willamette, the tour included transit of the Panama Canal.
Professionally William held many jobs including Universal Display, PEMI, Titan Wheel, Display Center, Hannibal Public School custodian, Hannibal Boat Harbor, Mark Twain Sign Co and lastly delivery for the Hannibal Courier Post.
An avid adventurer throughout life, William transited the Mississippi River from Hannibal to the mouth of Moblie Bay, Alabama, by houseboat. He was an avid swimmer and water sportsman river rat, a fledgling musician with skills at the guitar, harmonica, and piano. Always up for a joke, and laughs, Bill was a character as those who knew him can attest and will all miss his humor.
