Waymond G. Whitelock, 84, of Hannibal, died Monday, May 28, 2012, at his home. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012, at Smith Funeral Chapel. Rev. Jeff Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in Grand View Burial Park with full military rites conducted by Emmette J. Shields Post #55, The American Legion. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services at Smith Funeral Chapel. Waymond was born Jan. 8, 1928, in Shelbyville, Mo., to James S. and Edna M. Culbertson Whitelock. He married Marjorie A. Rawlings September 30, 1949, in Hannibal and she survives. Other survivors include several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Zelma Wilt, Doris Dowell and Enid Whitten. Waymond worked as a pressman for Standard Printing for 38 years. He later worked at Paragon Plastic Printing in Quincy. Waymond was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Europe from 1946 to 1948. He was a member of Emmette J. Shields Post #55, The American Legion and V.F.W. Post 2446. Waymond was a graduate of Monroe City High School, class of 1945. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Waymond was an avid sportsman and loved to hunt and fish. Pallbearers will be Jack K. Greathouse, Jerry Verrant, John Paschal, Tom Miller, Shane Rembusch and Mark Rembusch.
