Walter Bruce Erickson

Dr. Walter Bruce Erickson, age 74, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, died on June 3, 2012, in Minneapolis. Graveside services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2012, at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Rev. Kenneth Schamber will officiate. Smith Funeral Home & Chapel is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation. Dr. Erickson was born on March 4, 1938, in Evanston, Il., a son of Dr. Clifford Eric Erickson and Dr. Mildred May Brinkmeier Erickson. Survivors include a sister, Marilyn Esposito of Lincoln, RI; a niece, Laura Perfetto (Paul) and son Louis of Hannibal, MO; a nephew, Andrew Esposito (Julie) and sons Christopher and Cameron of Pawtucket, RI; special friends, Robert and Shirley Hreha of Minneapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents. Dr. Erickson was a long-time professor in the Carlson School of Management, at the University of Minnesota. He received his BA (honors), MA and PhD degrees from Michigan State University.
