Troy Allen Foubester

Troy Allen Foubester, age 41, of Elkland, MO, formerly of Hannibal, MO passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at his home.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, December 9, 2024, at Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.  Rev. Tim Goodman and Pastor Nathan Munger will officiate. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery.  Full military honors will be provided by the Emmette J. Shields, American Legion Post 55.

Visitation celebrating Troy's life will be held 11:00 AM until time of service at Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.

Troy was born on November 15, 1983, in Hannibal, MO, the son of John Foubester and Laura (Battle) Gladney.

Survivors include his parents John (Diana) Foubester of Hannibal, MO and Laura (Mike) Gladney of Pleasant Hope, MO;daughter, Abbie Walker of Springfield, MO; girlfriend, Debra Hopkins and her son, Parker Coleman; two brothers, Aaron Spratt of Fair Grove, MO and Allan Gladney; two sisters, Lindsey Foubester of Winchester, IL and Paula Shurtleff of Quincy, IL; grandparents, Francis and Dorothy Foubester of Hannibal, MO and Bruce and Mary Walker Battle, III of Hannibal, MO.

Other survivors include numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, two great nieces and other extended family and friends.

Troy was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Raymond and Margaret Foubester, Bruce and Nina Walker Battle, II and Rosemary Bousman; aunt, Megan Battle and uncle, Christopher Battle.

Troy graduated from Pittsfield High School in the class of 2002  and went on to honorably serve his country from 2002-2005 in the U.S. Army as a Medic serving one tour in Iraq.

Troy was very talented in home construction and worked for different contractors doing various home construction jobs.

Troy was a man of many talents and passions. He spent countless hours fishing, finding tranquility by the water. His love for music was evident in his skillful guitar playing and his talent for writing songs. Troy had a deep affection for Harley Davidson motorcycles, enjoying the freedom of the open road. Above all, he cherished the moments spent with his daughter, who was his pride and joy. Troy's enthusiasm for life and his interests will be deeply remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Foubester, Aivery Stuart, Jacob Gerard, David Gerard, Alex Ruhl and Andrew Ruhl. Honorary Pallbearer will be Aaron Spratt.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses or Stop Soldier Suicide, in care of Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.
