Stephen Lynn Reichert

Stephen Lynn Reichert, age 67, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 11:40 am Saturday, August 21, 2021, at his home surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be held 6:00 pm Friday, August 27, 2021, at Living Faith Baptist Church in Sherman, IL. Pastor Adam Cruse will officiate. Full military honors will follow the service at the church.

Visitation celebrating Stephen's life will be held 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm Friday August 27, 2021 at the Living Faith Baptist Church. The family is being served by the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel of Hannibal.

Stephen was born on December 6, 1953, in Beardstown, Illinois the son of Herman and Marie (Charles) Reichert. Survivors include his two sons, Brandon Reichert (Cassandra) and Michael Reichert (Bridget); daughter, Breanna Reichert (Brian); grandchildren, Zach, Nicci, Gavin, Cheyenne, Isannah, Akeelah, Lilionna, Hunter, Anthony, Brooklynn and Paislee and the late baby Alex; brother, Gary Reichert; and two nephews and one niece.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carolyn Albers and husband Raymond and sister-in-law, Barb Reichert .

Stephen graduated from Virginia High School in the class of 1972. He then went on to honorably serve his country in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Stephen worked in the electric music industry before retirement.

Stephen was a member of Living Faith Baptist Church in Sherman, IL. Stephen was active in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Lions Club. He cherished the time spent with his dad farming. Stephen took great pleasure in many types of hunting, such as deer, turkey, rabbit, quail and pheasant. He also enjoyed watching his children play sports. He also cherished spending time with his grandkids. In his free time Stephen enjoyed watching his favorite t.v. program N.C.I.S.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Reichert, Michael Reichert, Jose` Del Toro, TJ Michaels, Gavin Cains and Isannah Greenwood.

Honorary Pallbearers will be David Daniels and Jeff West.

Memorial contributions may be made to Smith Funeral Home & Chapel to assist the family with funeral expenses, in care of Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.
