Stephen "Steve" Constable

Stephen "Steve" Constable, age 70, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 7:20 pm Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Beth Haven Nursing Home.

A private family memorial service will be held at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.  Inurnment will be in the Grand View Columbarium at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.

Stephen "Steve" was born on October 1, 1953, in Hannibal, MO the son of Frederic and Deloris (Lidgard) Constable.

He was united in marriage to Rhonda Dudding on October 4, 1990, in Hannibal, MO.

Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Constable of the home; two sons, Justin Constable of Quincy, IL and Ryan Constable (Kristen) of Ludington, MI; two brothers, Bob Constable of Hannibal, MO and Mike Constable (Nancy) of Hannibal, MO.

Also surviving are Steve's grandchildren, Desiree Constable of Hannibal, MO, Katlin Constable of Santa Fe, MO, Emerson Constable of Ludington, MI and Mary Lou Constable of Ludington, MI; three great-grandchildren, Elijah Smith, Braelynn Whitaker and Beckett Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Steve graduated from Hannibal High School.  He began working for his father at Constable Electric and later took over the company before starting Constable Security.

Steve liked the simple things in life, you could often find him out in his boat bass fishing, or just simply cruising the Mississippi River or Mark Twain Lake.  Steve also enjoyed golfing with his buddies.  The times spent with his family and friends is what he cherished the most.

Steve was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
