Sheila Marie (Smith) Lugena Stone

Sheila Marie Lugena Stone, age 53, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 12:03 am Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at her home.

There will be no services held at this time.

Burial will be in the New Oakland Cemetery in rural Monroe City.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.

Sheila was born on February 27, 1969, in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland the daughter of Sgt. Jackie Leon Smith and Ginger Donna (McCullough) Smith.

She was first married to Stephen Lugena and was later united in marriage to Stephen Stone on June 2, 2007, in Hannibal, MO.

Survivors include her husband, Stephen Stone of the home, her mother Ginger Norris of Hannibal, MO, her children, Austin "A.J." Lugena of Seattle, WA, Michaela Lugena of Portland, OR, Jacob Lugena of Hannibal, MO,   and her three grandchildren,  Keith, Jonah and Taylor.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Stephen Lugena and her father, Jackie Leon Smith.

Sheila graduated from Hannibal High School 1987 and went on to receive her Master's Degree in Accounting.

Education was important to Sheila.  She was a person of strong character and always willing and wanting to help others.  She had fun testing her skill at crafting and gardening.  Her family considered her a "Chef" and truly enjoyed her meals.  She enjoyed her fur baby cat "Willow".   Sheila adored and cherished her family and the time spent with them.
