Scott Kevin Lingwall

August 19, 1956 — October 28, 2023

Scott Kevin Lingwall, age 67, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 4:05 am Saturday, October 28, 2023, at his home.

Private family graveside services will be held Friday, November 3, 2023, in Akers Chapel Cemetery in rural Hull, IL.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.

Scott was born on August 19, 1956, in Hannibal, MO the son of Robert and June (Dunker) Lingwall.

He was united in marriage to Charlotte "Sally" Ann Clayton on November 26, 1987, in Las Vegas, NV.  She preceded him in death on August 30, 2021.

Survivors include his parents, Robert and June Lingwall of Hull, IL; two step daughters, Andrea Fifield (Steve) of Columbia, MO and Ranie Youngblood (Kirk) of New London, MO; one step-son, John Owens (Joleen) of Cherokee, IA; two brothers, Jay Lingwall (Leigh) of Lee's Summit, MO and Steve Bullington (Linda) of Sparta, GA.

Also surviving are his grandchildren, Richie Gilmore (Tiffany), Ryan Gilmore (Ashlie), James Owens, Levi Owens, Tegan Owens, Riker Fifield, Archer Fifield and Paige Mulligan (Will); six great-grandchildren; Charleigh, Emme, Patrick, Evie, Ace, Sophia and one on the way, Arrow; nephew, Jacob Lingwall and two nieces, Jayme Kersting (Tad) and  Michelle Hart.

Scott graduated from West Pike High School 1974 and went on to  honorably serve his country in the US Army.

Professionally Scott worked  in the Sterile Processing department for Hannibal Regional Hospital for over twenty years.

Scott enjoyed many outside activities including fishing, golfing and hunting, especially hunting for those hard to find mushrooms.  He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan.  Scott was a pretty good "Chef" and enjoyed cooking for his family and friends.  He also enjoyed going to flea markets and swap meets to find a bargain.  Some favorite times were shooting off fireworks, being with family and friends and most importantly, "spoiling"  his grandchildren. Scott will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Scott was a member of  Hull United Methodist Church.
