Ryan L. Roberts

Ryan L. Roberts, age 41, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 5:04 pm Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Beloved Health & Rehabilitation Center.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm Monday, March 6, 2023, at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel. Pastor Danny Schluckebier will officiate.

Visitation celebrating Ryan's life will be held at 4:00 pm until the time of the service Monday at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.

Ryan was born on November 19, 1981, in Quincy, IL the son of John and Jolene (Strickler) Roberts. He and Jennifer Roberts have three children: Tayler, Harley, and Bradley.

Survivors include his parents, John and Jolene Roberts of Loraine, IL; son, Bradley Roberts of Hannibal, MO; two daughters, Tayler Roberts of Hannibal, MO and Harley Bradshaw (Trever) of New Canton, IL; six siblings: Chrystal Roberts of Liberty, IL, Lucinda Rehfeldt (Chris) of Detroit, MI, Maranda Voican (Shawn) of Blackjack, MO, Robert Roberts (Deanna) of Canton, MO, Randall Roberts of Portland, OR, Rachael Tenk (Ted) of Quincy, IL; one granddaughter; Mckenzie Bradshaw; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Ryan was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Floyd and Marilyn Strickler and paternal grandparents, P. Frank and Mildred Roberts.

Ryan held an array of positions within the electronics industry. His eyes would light up when he spoke of working on various AM/FM radio towers. Ryan also spent numerous hours on his HAM radio, with his call handle being w0rlr.

He worked at Moo-Shiners Bar & Grill. He enjoyed helping out for various events held at Moo-Shiners by smoking meat for events held at the establishment. Ryan also worked at the Hitching Post at Mark Twain Lake, when his health would allow him. In years past, Ryan worked various behind-the-scene positions within the local hotel industry.

Ryan was an active member of the Marion County Democrat Club. Some of Ryan's favorite times were smoking meat for family and friends, fishing, and trips to the St. Louis Zoo or to Lost Valley Lake Resort. The most special times for Ryan were spent with his family and friends.

Ryan attended Quincy Faith Assembly.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Bradley Roberts, Tayler Roberts, Harley Bradshaw, Robert Roberts, Randall Roberts, Rachael Tenk, and Maranda Voican.

Memorial contributions may be made to Smith Funeral Home & Chapel to assist the family with funeral expenses.
