Ronald Lynn Johnson Sr., age 69, of New London, MO passed away at 1:35 pm Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.

The family will host a memorial service at a later date.  Cremation arrangements are being handled by the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel of Hannibal.

Ronald was born on February 28, 1956, in Hannibal, MO the son of Louis Henry Johnson and Ethlyn (Lynch) Burbank.

Survivors include four sons, Christopher "Cody" Johnson (Jamie) of Hannibal, MO, Ronald Johnson, Jr. of New London, MO, Clinton "Caleb" Johnson of Hannibal, MO and Justin Noah Lynch Johnson of Hannibal, MO; brother, Louis Henry Johnson, Jr. and sister-in law, Brenda Johnson. Also surviving are Ronald's four grandsons, Anthony Gavin Johnson, Aaron Trevor Johnson, Preston Bradley Johnson and William Henry Johnson, and two granddaughters, Kynli Elise Johnson and Zayla Lynn Johnson; .

In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by two brothers, Warren Everett Johnson and Terry Wayne Johnson.

Ronald was self-employed as a general contractor.

Ronald’s love for life was evident in everything he did. He spent his days enjoying the simple pleasures, especially spending time outdoors. Whether it was fishing on the Mississippi River, cruising on his boat, or enjoying a cup of coffee while watching the wildlife, he found peace and joy in nature. Ronald treasured his time with his family. His sons and grandkids were the lights of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

He had a passion for travel, always eager to explore new places and create memories. When not traveling, Ronald could be found watching his favorite western shows, reminiscing about the good old days, or working at home taking care of his chickens and other small animals.

Ronald had a good-natured spirit and could always be found with a Busch in hand or enjoying a shot of Jose Cuervo, sharing laughter with friends and family.
