Robert S. Martinson

Robert S Martinson, 87, of Hannibal, Mo., left his earthly realm to be with his Lord on September 29, 2012 at Beth Haven Nursing Home. Bob was born August 26, 1925 in Duluth, Mn., to Harry and Hilda Martinson. On June 19, 1954 he married Dellafaye Lyons who preceded him in death in 1983. Bob volunteered midway through his senior year of High School to serve in the US Army Air Corp as a Navigator during World War II. He attended the University of Mn., graduating in 1950 with a BA in Electrical Engineering. In Duluth, Bob worked for US Steel and Universal Atlas Cement as an Industrial Engineer, Project Engineer and Superintendent of Maintenance. In 1972, he was transferred to Freeport, Bahamas to serve 7 months as a project engineer at their Bahamas plant. In 1973 he was transferred to US Steelâa
