Pauline Rosser Lewis, 99, of Lincoln, NE. formerly of Hannibal, MO passed away at 12:18 a.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at The Waterford At Williamsburg in Lincoln, NE.
Graveside services and burial will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2016, at Grand View Burial Park. Rev. Tim Goodman will officiate.
Visitation will be held 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.
Pauline was born on September 21, 1916, in Hannibal, Mo. the daughter of John Roy and Jessie (Calvert) Rosser.
She was united in marriage to Kenneth W. Lewis. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Donna Lewis of Kansas City, Mo.; three grandchildren, Julie Lewis Strasheim and husband James of Lincoln, Neb., Thomas B. Lewis and wife Debbie of Lees Summit, Mo. and William S. Lewis and wife Natalie of Liberty, Mo.; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by one son, The Honorable Kenneth R. Lewis; five brothers, Melvin Rosser, Orville Rosser, Calvert Rosser, John Roy Rosser and Ronald Rosser; four sisters, Helen M. Wissinger, Frances McKay, Roberta L. Rosser and Eugenia Burrell.
Pauline graduated from Hannibal High School in the class of 1934. She worked as a secretary for Citizens Gas Company and later Great River Gas for 41 years.
Pauline enjoyed reading and cherished the time spent with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Lewis was a Baptist by faith.
