Michael Joseph Robbearts, 76, of Hannibal, Missouri, passed away at 4:17 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Smith Funeral Home & Chapel. Burial with full military honors will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, Missouri.

Visitation celebrating Michael’s life will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.

Michael was born on August 23, 1949, in Hannibal, Missouri, the son of Clifford and Mignon (Ridge) Robbearts.

He was united in marriage to Mary Dixon on August 31, 1970, in Waynesville, Missouri. Together they shared more than 55 years of marriage.

Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Robbearts of the home; one son, Michael Joseph Robbearts II (Mary) of Hannibal, Missouri; two daughters, Amanda Sue Overbeck (Vincent) of Jackson, Missouri, and Thea Desiree Robbearts of Hannibal, Missouri; one brother, Timothy John Robbearts (Leny) of Cebu, Philippines; grandchildren, Kalin Kane, Michaela Joy, Morgan Paige, Victoria Lynn, and Bianca Paige; and great-grandchildren, Addison Joy, Elliott Michael, and Kinsley Renee.

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by one brother, Brent R. Robbearts, and one grandson, Christopher Andrew Robbearts.

Michael graduated from Hannibal High School in 1967 and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

He was employed as a security guard at American Cyanamid, now BASF, where he worked faithfully for many years.

Away from work, Michael enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing and hoping to land the next record catch. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed attending games and cheering on his favorite team. Michael never met a stranger and loved visiting with family and friends, often sharing a joke or story. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family, who were the center of his life and greatest source of pride and joy.
