Mary Margaret Parsons, 87, of Hannibal, MO formerly of Perry, MO and Quincy, IL passed away at 7:52 a.m. Monday, July 20, 2015, at her home. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 23, 2015, at the Smith Funeral Home and Chapel in Hannibal. Fr. John Henderson will officiate. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Quincy, IL. Visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Smith Funeral Home and Chapel with a Rosary service at 4:30 p.m. Mary was born September 10, 1927, in Quincy IL the daughter of Fred and Olivia (Zimmerman) Kramer. She was married to Robert Parsons on October 28, 1950, and he preceded her in death on September 13, 1992. Survivors include one son, Mark W. Parsons and wife Debbie of Hannibal, MO; one son-in-law, Robert Morgan of Quincy, IL; five grandchildren, Abby Parsons of Perry, MO, Sherri Squires of Quincy, IL, Jolene Squires of Quincy, IL, Jeremy Bliss (Jessica) of Springfield, IL, and Josh Bliss (Tina) of Canton, MO; four great grandchildren, Laken, Kynadee, Aubrey and Ayden Bliss; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Parsons was preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon Morgan, four brothers and five sisters. Mrs. Parsons worked at Motorola in Quincy before moving to Perry. While living in Perry she was very active in the Perry Nutrition Center and was a member of St. William Parish. When she moved to Hannibal she become a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Retired Letter Carriers Association and enjoyed working puzzles, playing board games and spending time with family and friends. Memorial contributions may be made to DaVita Hannibal Dialysis Center, in care of the Smith Funeral Home and Chapel.
