Martha "Marty" Redman, 65, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 1:20 a.m. Monday January 19, 2015, at her home.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 24, 2015, at the Smith Funeral Home and Chapel. Rev. Tim Goodman will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand View Burial Park.
Visitation will be held 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2015, at the Smith Funeral Home and Chapel.
Martha was born on April 25, 1949, in Hannibal, MO the daughter of Nova and Margaret Ann (Richmond) Givan, Jr.
She married Daniel Redman on May 19, 1979, in Rensselear, MO.
Survivors include her husband Daniel "Dan" Redman of Hannibal, MO; two sons, Ken Schutze of Mesa, AZ and Robert Redman of Hannibal, MO; one daughter, Teresa Christy and husband Jason of Monroe City, MO; two sisters, Judy Gott and husband Ken of Bryan, TX, and twin sister, Mary Zeiger and husband Don of Hannibal, MO; four grandchildren, Callie Schutze, Maddie Schutze, Cody Powell, and Kaylee Powell; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Redman was preceded in death by her parents.
Marty graduated from Hannibal High School in 1966. She previously worked as a lab tech at Duffens Optical and recently as a waitress at Golden Corral. Marty enjoyed teaching Aquacise at the YMCA, bowling, sewing, collecting dairy cows and John Deere memorabilia, making candy around the holidays, and setting on her front porch watching the hummingbirds. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Redman attended Clover Road Christian Church
Pallbearers will be Travis Golden, T.J. Golden, Jack Immegart, Rusty Immegart, Nick Alcorn, and Darrin DeLaPorte.
Memorial contributions may be made to the James E. Cary Cancer Center or Clover Road Christian Church, in care of Smith Funeral Home and Chapel.
