Louise Vale Timbrook

Louise Vale (Canote) Timbrook, 97, of Hannibal, Missouri, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at Beth Haven Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, September 19, 2014, at the Smith Funeral Home and Chapel. Brother Justin Mosher and Pastor Jamie Page will officiate. Burial will follow in the Grand View Burial Park. Visitation will be held 12:00 PM until the time of the service Friday at the Smith Funeral Home and Chapel. Louise was born November 27, 1916, in Hannibal, Mo. to Joseph Wilbur and Jane Fenton (Swetnam) Canote. Mrs. Timbrook graduated from Hannibal High School, and later married the love of her life, Winfred Clay "Tim" Timbrook on April 9, 1939. Mr. Timbrook survives her. Other survivors include a daughter, Jovanna S. Timbrook; daughter-in-law, Linda Timbrook; grandson, Jamie (Lisa) Page; granddaughter, Marni (Adam) Tuhro; great grandchildren, Kyla Page, Rachel Page, Ethan Page, Hollie Page, Justin Tuhro and Lauren Tuhro; sister-in-law, Evelyn Arterburn; and niece, Marcie DeLaporte. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Timbrook was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Clay Timbrook; two sisters, Betty Jo Geronsin and Virginia Tillett; four brothers-in-law, Bill Tillett, Herald Geronsin, Tex Arterburn and Joe Timbrook, one great granddaughter, Katie E. Page, and one nephew, Terry DeLaporte. Mrs. Timbrook was an active member of the Fifth Street Baptist Church in Hannibal, where she faithfully served in various capacities for many years. She was also a member of the Lighthouse chapter No. 194 O.E.S. Mrs. Timbrook was employed in the past at the Link's Grocery Store and the Pastry Box in Hannibal where she created beautiful cakes and pastries. Following retirement, she also enjoyed baking wedding cakes at her home for family and close friends. Memorials may be made to the Fifth Street Baptist Church of Hannibal, in care of the Smith Funeral Home and Chapel.
