Lorrie Abbey, age 67, of Hannibal, Missouri, passed away peacefully at 8:46 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at her home with her family at her side.

Her family will host a Celebration of Life service at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by Smith Funeral Home & Chapel of Hannibal.

Lorrie was born on June 17, 1959, in Hannibal, Missouri, the daughter of Harold McCloud and Sharon (Haynes) Hale.

She is survived by her children, Andrea "Nicky" French (Kirmin), Adam McCloud, Valerie Thomas, Tori McCloud, and Shawnee McCloud; her siblings, David McCloud, Dale McCloud, Valarie McCloud, Harold McCloud, Michael Hale, and Rachel Hale; and her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Jaiyden, Kyliah, Ayiannha, Traiyce, Caiyssen, Dakota, Gaige, Kayleigh, Laykyn, Arian, Eastyn, Myliah, Zayden, Serenity, Lydia, Bella, Lennox, Garrett, Atrues, Jaiy, Scarlet, Addison, Jordan, and Karson; and several nieces and nephews.

Lorrie was preceded in death by her father, Harold McCloud; her mother, Sharon Hale; her stepfather, George Hale; and her sister, Jennifer Hale.

A devoted homemaker, Lorrie found her greatest purpose and joy in raising her children and helping care for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her home was always a place of love, comfort, and family.

She cherished every moment spent with those she loved. A cup of coffee and a cigarette were part of her daily routine, often enjoyed while visiting with family and friends. In her leisure time, she enjoyed watching the television series Charmed, and her favorite movie was Bicentennial Man, which she could watch time and again.

Lorrie was a faithful member of New Hope Gospel Church.
