Linda Kathleen Williams Houser

Linda Kathleen Williams Houser, age 82, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 8:32 pm Monday, May 27, 2024, at Luther Manor Nursing Facility.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.

Linda was born on August 2, 1941, in Hannibal, MO the daughter of Henry and Emma Faye Stoops.

She was united in marriage to Marvin Houser on June 10, 1989, in Hannibal, MO. He preceded her in death October 1, 2016.

Survivors include two daughters, Deena Budd of Hannibal, MO and Jeanne Lynn Hutson (Thomas) of Swisher, IA; son, Robert Henry Williams (Angie Hull) of Hannibal, MO; three step sons, Joe Houser (Cindy), Mark Houser(Sherri)and Scott Houser; step daughter, Chris Bross (Mark); five grandchildren, James Robert Budd (Mickey), Brittany Faye Budd, Travis Hutson (Brenna), Carley Hutson and Allison Williams.

Other survivors include six step grandchildren, Stephanie, Kortne, Alexis, Sami, Mark, Jr. and Matthew; two great-granddaughter, Olive Rose, and Luna Chantra born only a few hours after Linda's passing.

In addition to her husband, Marvin, she was preceded in death by her parents and two infant siblings.

Linda graduated from high school and went to further her education in the medical field.  She worked as an EMT for several years and later retired from the Credit Department for St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Linda was a member of  Calvary Baptist Church.

When she was inside you could find her reading mystery books or watching Family Feud and Jeopardy. When she wasn't reading or watching tv, or gardening, you could find her in the kitchen cooking her family favorites, such as noodles, potato salad and deviled eggs. Her biggest enjoyment in life was camping with Marvin and their dog "Banana" and spending time with her family and friends.
