Lena Lynn (Sparks) Fessenden

Lena Lynn Fessenden, 52, of Hannibal, MO transitioned into eternity at 6:42 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at Hannibal Regional Hospital. Funeral services celebrating Lena’s life will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.  Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 17, 2019, at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel. Lena was born on April 26, 1967, in Chillicothe, MO the daughter of Alfred William and June L. (McKown) Sparks. She was united in marriage to William Earl Fessenden on April 30, 1983, in Hannibal, MO.  He survives her. Other survivors include her children, Joseph Fessenden and wife Ashlee of Hannibal, MO and Billy Joe Fesseneden and wife Casey of Hannibal, MO; brothers, Rodney Harkins, Randy Harkins, and Alfred Sparks; sisters, Lynn Brooks (Leonard), Linda Busby, and Patricia Sparks; grandchildren, Isaiah, Hannah, Elijah, Emma, Brayden, Bryce, Blayklee, Dalton, and Draden.  Also surviving are Lena’s loving in-law’s and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents, Lena was preceded in death by her twin sister, Tina Sparks and granddaughter, Selah Grace. Lena worked as a homemaker and prayer warrior raising her loving family and any who walked into her home. She enjoyed watching hummingbirds outside her window, court tv shows and Super Hero TV/Movies with her son.  She loved hosting slumber parties with her granddaughters and nieces and cherished the time spent with her family and friends.  Lena was a loving, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend that will be missed by all whom she touched. Lena was a member of The Lord’s House. Pallbearers will be Danny Rhodes, Jason Rhodes, Dallas Ranabargar, Tim Fessenden, James Harvey and Joseph Fessenden. Honorary pallbearer will be Isaiah Fessenden.
