Lee Robert Fortney

Lee Robert Fortney, age 22, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 6:29 am Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.

A visitation celebrating Lee's life will be held 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Thursday, November 21, 2024, at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.

A second visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home in Pawhuska, OK.

Lee was born on January 6, 2002, in Quincy, IL the son of Lance and April (Fortney) Summers.

Survivors include his parents Lance and April Summers, his beloved daughter who was the light of Lee's heart, Charlee Rose Fortney and her mother, Molly Green, four brothers, Marek Walker, William Walker, Jacob Walker and Gage Summers, two sisters, Brittney Summers and Kaydyence Summers, grandparents, James and Kellee Sankpill, grandmother, Becky Fortney and great-grandmother, Marilyn Justice.

Other survivors include numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bo Fortney.

Professionally Lee worked as a Mechanic for Loves Travel Stop and was also a very talented welder.

Lee was a member of the Seneca Native American tribe.

Lee was a country boy at heart.  Being outdoors was where you could find him, usually hunting, fishing and camping. Lee was a hard worker that liked getting his hands dirty by tackling any welding job that came his way. Listening to 70's and 80's hard rock was one of Lee's favorite past times. Lee loved his friends and family, but his greatest love was for his precious daughter and he took pride in being a doting dad.
