Keith R. Yehle

Keith R. Yehle, 72, of Hannibal, died at 12:05 p.m., Monday, February 4, 2013 at his home. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, February 7, 2013, at Smith Funeral Home & Chapel. Pastor Bruce Bouman will officiate. Burial will be in Grand View Burial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at Smith Funeral Home & Chapel. Mr. Yehle was born April 22, 1940, in Goodland, KS, to Roland and Mary Tuttle Yehle. He married Joyce A. Nichols, April 14, 1960. in Brush, CO, and she survives. Other survivors include, a daughter, Kristen (Kyle) Denham of Hannibal; a brother, Dean (Nancy) Yehle of Attleboro Falls, Mass.; a sister, Rose (Verle) Huff of Scotts City, KS; one niece and one nephew and brothers-in-law, Roger (Roberta) Nichols of Hull, IL and Johnny (Lindy) Nichols of Hannibal. Keith formerly owned and operated Yehle Construction Company. He retired from General Mills . He also had farmed in the Mt. Zion Community. Keith was an active member of Mt. Zion Christian Church and past president of the church board, and served as a deacon and elder at the church. Keith formerly served as president of the Travel-n-Trompers camping club and he and Joyce were members of the Twain Twirlers Square Dance group. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a graduate of Kanarado KS High School, class of 1958. Memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Christian Church, in care of Smith Funeral Home & Chapel. Pallbearers will be Dick Wagner, Larry Wagner, Robert Denham, Ed Cunningham, Randy Rothwell and Jon See. Honorary Pallbearers will be Russell Maple and Richard Turner.
