Jennie Pearl (Piper) Davis

Jennie "Pearl" Davis, age 79, of New London, MO passed away at 2:10 am Sunday, September 1, 2024, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.

There are no services planned at this time.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel of Hannibal.

Jennie was born on April 18, 1945, in Hannibal, MO the daughter of Robley Francis and Jennie Priscilla (Briggs) Piper seven of ten children.

She was united in marriage to Aaron Jeffrey Davis on May 28, 1983, in Hannibal, MO.

Survivors include her husband of almost 42 years A. Jeffrey Davis; son, Rhys (Jenni) Davis; twin grandchildren, Vivian Pearlann and Briggs Huckleberry.

She is also survived by her sisters, Ada (the late John) Zupan, Grace Ann (the late Frank) Genovese, Debbie (Francis) Schindler; brothers, Richard (June Ann) Piper and Pete (Shirley) Piper; sister-in-law, Nadine Louise Davis; brothers-in-law, Eric (Mary) Davis, Christopher Davis, Scott (Judy) Davis; thirty-one nieces and nephews; numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Pearl was heavily invested in the upbringing of many of her nieces and nephews and remained close to all of them.

In addition to her parents, Pearl was preceded in death by brothers, David (Betty) Piper, Robley (Mario-surviving) Piper and Wayne (Judy) Piper; sister, Virginia (Jack) Harsell.

Jennie graduated from Hannibal High School.  Worked at Fern's White Rose Diner. She later went to work at Walmart helping build the first Walmart in Hannibal and subsequently retired from Walmart after twenty-six years.

Jennie was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
