Jean (Hayward) Huels

Jean  Huels, age 80, of Hannibal, MO formerly of Florida passed away at 3:27 pm Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at her home.

There will be no services held at this time.  Cremation arrangements are being handled by the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel of Hannibal.

Jean was born on September 21, 1941, in Cincinnati, OH the daughter of William and Catherine (Claus) Hayward.

Survivors include a son, Daniel Huels (Sheri) of Hannibal, MO; grandchildren, Tony Huels of Plant City, FL and Deanna Walker (Eric) of Plant City, FL, sisters, Karen Thompson, Anita McDonald (Tim), Rita Ryan and Sue Henderlight (Calvin) all of Cincinnati, OH; numerous great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Huels was preceded in death by a son, Larry Huels; grandson, Cayden Huels; siblings, Carl "Buddy" Hayword, Billy Hayward, Nora Peters and Vicky Connell.

Jean worked as a security guard before her retirement.

Away from work, Jean enjoyed singing and dancing, listening to Elvis Presley, watching John Wayne movies, playing computer games and cooking in her younger years.  Jeans greatest love was her family, she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Huels was a Christian by faith.
