Helen M. Mcintyre

Helen M. McIntyre, 96, of Hannibal, formerly of Alpine, Texas, died at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Palmyra. Funeral services are being planned at a later date in Alpine, Texas. Smith Funeral Home & Chapel is in charge of local arrangements. Helen was born January 9, 1916, in Brooklyn, New York, a daughter of Joseph James and Helen Veronica Nolan Speckles. She was married in New York on July 11, 1922, to Patrick James McIntyre who preceded her in death. Helen's daughters Patricia Kester of Warren, Ohio, and Dorothy Piepgrass of Portland Oregon also preceded Helen in death. Pat and Helen had five daughters, 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Surviving three daughters are, Betty Berglund of Seattle, Washington; Mary (Jim III) Jae of Hannibal, Missouri; and Carol Morrow of Alpine, Texas. She was also survived by her loving dog âa
