Harry "Gene" Eugene Gray

Harry "Gene" Eugene Gray, 63, of Center, MO formerly of Palmyra, MO passed away at 4:51 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Westview Nursing Home in Center. The family will host a memorial gathering for family and friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2018, at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel in Hannibal. Harry was born on October 14, 1954, in Quincy, IL the son of Paul Kenneth and Virginia Christina (Erickson) Gray. He was married to Barbara Collins, she preceded him in death on February 23, 2015. Survivors include three sons, Dustin Gray and wife Jennifer of Palmyra, MO, Travis Gray and wife Theresa of Troy, MO and Eric Gray and wife Katelyn of Palmyra, MO; two daughters, Amber Gray of Hannibal, MO and Brittany Gray of New London, MO; two sisters, Kris Mast and husband Phil of Quincy, IL and Linda Grace Howald of Amarillo, TX; seven grandchildren, Dalton, Jacob, Joel, Mason, Harmony, Aliyah, and Nova. In addition to his wife, Mr. Gray was preceded in death by his parents. Gene had a love for the outdoors, He enjoyed fishing, when weather permitted, hunting, especially coon hunting or just sitting on his front porch enjoying the outdoors. Gene also enjoyed the company of his three dogs, "Ace", "Jasmine", and "Emigos". His biggest love was the time with his family and friends and the memories that were made. Mr. Gray was Christian by faith. Memorials contributions may be made to the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel to assist the family with funeral expenses.
