Geraldine Mildred Bradshaw

Geraldine "Gerry" Bradshaw, age 98, of Hannibal, MO passed away peacefully at 7:57 am Friday, May 29, 2020, at Beth Haven Nursing Home.

Graveside services and burial will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, June 2, 2020, in the Grand View Burial Park.  Rev. Steve Barker will officiate.  There will be no visitation.

The family is being served by the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel of Hannibal.

Mrs. Bradshaw was born on October 7, 1921, in Palmyra, MO the daughter of George and Gertrude (Young) Ferguson.

Her husband, Dale of over 50 years, preceded her in death on November 2, 2004.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Glen and Vern Ferguson, one sister, Francis Vaughn, and one of her sons, John Bradshaw.  She is survived by her other son Kelly Bradshaw of Georgia.

Mrs. Bradshaw worked as a beautician early in life, but soon became a full time homemaker.  She was an excellent cook and particularly enjoyed baking, much to the delight of her family.  One of her interest was her fondness of cats, especially Siamese, of which she had several over the years.  Geraldine was also a bird lover and no doubt due to having grown up on a farm had a genuine appreciation for nature in general.

Gerry was generous with her time, including volunteer work with the Beth Haven Ladies Auxiliary and her involvement with the First Christian Church of Hannibal, of which she was a member most of her adult life.  Mrs. Bradshaw was a devoted wife and mother, and will be remembered fondly.

Pallbearers will be Gary Luck, Mike Ferguson a surviving nephew and her son Kelly Bradshaw.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church of Hannibal, in care of the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.
