Gerald "Jerry" W. Ueltzen

Gerald "Jerry" W. Ueltzen, age 68, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 6:13 pm Friday, December 2, 2022, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.

A graveside services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Pastor Steve Barker will officiate. The family is being served by the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel of Hannibal.

Jerry was born on December 31, 1953, in St. Louis, MO the son of Herman and Mary (Patrick) Ueltzen.

Survivors include his children, Michael Delong, of St. Louis, MO, Rebecca Dunaway (Kenneth) of Kansas City, MO, Sarah Ueltzen of Hannibal, MO, Leah Ueltzen of Hannibal, MO, Nathan Genniwein of Jefferson County, MO, Jacob Ueltzen of House Springs, MO, and Mary Ueltzen of O'Fallon, MO.

Also surviving are his ten grandchildren, Olivia, Sydni, Kaitlynn, Noah, Jeremiah, Jayden, Josiah, Emily, Julian, and Jonah; brother, Terry Ueltzen of High Ridge, MO; friend, Randy May; and dearest friend, Peggy Piper of O'Fallon, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Danny Ueltzen, sister, Mary Mathis.

Jerry graduated from high school and went into the work force as an auto body.  Jerry liked being outdoors fishing and camping.  In his spare time, he enjoyed collecting various knives, riding motorcycles and spending time with his grandchildren whom he loved dearly.

Mr. Ueltzen was a Christian by faith.
