Erin Lynn Brooks

Erin Lynn Brooks, age 52, of New London, MO  passed away at 12:36 am Thursday, July 23, 2020, at her home.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2020, at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.  Pastor Tim Goodman and Pastor Tom Day will officiate.  Burial will be in the Grand View Burial Park.

Visitation celebrating Erin's life will be held 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service Monday at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.

Erin was born on March 28, 1968, in Moline, IL the daughter of Everett P. and Virginia M. (Kizer) Brooks.

Survivors include her parents, Everett and Virginia Brooks of New London, MO; daughter, Megan Burbridge and fiancée Bradley Branham of Hannibal, MO; brothers, Evan Brooks and wife Rita and Darren Brooks of Hannibal, MO; sister, Heather McGuire and husband John (Beaver) of Hannibal, MO; niece and nephews, Andrew Stolberg (Chelsea), Michael Brooks, Maryn McGuire and Preston McGuire.

Erin graduated from Mark Twain High School in the class of 1986.  She previously worked as a CNA at area nursing homes as well as a cashier at local businesses until her health forced her to retire.

Erin had many passions in life with family being the greatest.  She also enjoyed traveling, watching her favorite sports teams the St. Louis Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts, watching NASCAR and going to concerts.  Erin also loved the companionship of her dog "Dakota".

Erin was a member of Oakwood Christian Church.

Pallbearers will be Evan Brooks, John McGuire, Andrew Stolberg, Michael Brooks, Jim Thornburg, and Todd Kizer.

Memorial contributions may be made Community Loving Care Hospice or NEMO Humane Society, in care of the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.
