Dorothy L. White

Dorothy Lee White, 81, of Hannibal, Mo. passed away at 11:45 a.m. Thursday, September 1, 2016, at Hannibal Regional Hospital. Arrangements for cremation are being handled by the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel. There are no services planned at this time. Dorothy was born on June 3, 1935, in Brookfield, Mo. the daughter of George and Virginia (Pennick) Crowley. She was married to Ronald Dean White. He survives her. Other survivors include one son, Ronald Robert White (Connie Susan) of Hannibal, Mo; two daughters, Nancy Karen Pyle of Hannibal, Mo. and Lori Ann Lindsey of Delhi, NY; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. White was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Vale White, one brother, Frank Frances Blew and one sister, Sharon Crowley. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. When her children were young she enjoyed taking them on picnics, hiking and swimming. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed traveling. Mrs. White was a Methodist by faith. Memorial contributions may be made to the Missouri Council of the Blind, in care of the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.
