Dennis Gregg McCloud, 60, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 26, 2014, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2014, at the Smith Funeral Home and Chapel. Pastor Jeff Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand View Burial Park. Visitation will be held 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2014 at the Smith Funeral Home and Chapel. Dennis was born May 4, 1954 in Hannibal, MO. the son of John Henry and Helen Marie (Gregg) McCloud, Sr. He married Linda K. Lewton on February 5, 1978 in Hannibal, MO. She survives him. Survivors include his wife Linda K. McCloud of Hannibal, MO; three daughters, Gloria McCloud of Grapevine, TX, Kimberly Stockstill (Allan) of Jefferson City, MO and Meredith McCloud Collazo of Hannibal, MO; one son, Justin McCloud (Jill) of Hannibal, MO; six grandchildren, Aiden Jones, Colby Stockstill, Gloria Jones, Andrew Stockstill, Ryan Stockstill and Rylan Jones; one brother, John Henry McCloud, Jr. (Donna) of Hannibal, MO; one nephew, Michael McCloud (Gina) of Denver, CO; and mother-in-law, Bettie Lewton of Hannibal, MO. Mr. McCloud was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Lenne Lewton. Dennis was a former Hannibal Police Officer for over 20 years, where he started the Hannibal D.A.R.E. program and the annual Halloween Party for the kids. He recently worked at Walmart and Swiss Colony. Dennis enjoyed deer hunting with his son, fishing, camping, cruises, missionary work and spending time with his family and friends especially his grandkids. Mr. McCloud was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Matt Clark, Eldon Power, Michael McCloud, Larry Vaughn, Greg Keim and Chuck Klein. Honorary Pallbearers will be Aiden Jones and Rylan Jones. Memorials may be made to the Addicts Victorious, in care of Smith Funeral Home and Chapel.
