Dennis Lee Howald

Dennis Lee Howald, 56, of Center, MO passed away at 11:55 p.m. Thursday, December 20, 2018, at Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia, MO.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel of Hannibal.

Dennis was born on October 6, 1962, in Hannibal, MO the son of Richard D. and Gloria L. (Sanderson) Howald.

Survivors include his mother Gloria Howald of Hannibal, MO; daughter, Cheyenne Powell and husband J.C. and their four children of Center, MO; stepdaughter, Lori Cook and her children of Vandalia; stepson, Shawn Nett of Center, MO; seven brothers and sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Howald was preceded in death by his father and companion Carolyn Cook.

After high school at Mark Twain, Dennis remained living on the family farm in Center.  Dennis worked for over twenty-five years at PACE Industries in Monroe City, MO.

Dennis enjoyed the simple life on the farm.  He cherished the time spent with his family and friends.
