David Arthur Spitaleri, age 68, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 1:56 pm Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at his home.
A Celebration of Life service will be hosted by his family at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are being handled by Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.
David was born on July 15, 1954, in Cleveland, Ohio the son of Anthony Spitaleri and Mary (Bowers) Marple.
Survivors include his life partner of eighteen years; Debra Fish, four sons; Shawn David Spitaleri, David Spitaleri, Jr., Andy Dolbeare and Kevin Dolbeare (Amanda); two daughters; Elana Davita Robidoux and Jessica Fish (Aaron).
Also surviving are two brothers; Tony Spitaleri and Jeff Spitaleri, sister; Mary Coldwell and two grandsons; Dante Spitaleri, and Brydon Clayton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bret Spitaleri.
David graduated from high school and went on to attend college for two years. Veteran Spitaleri honorably served his country in the Army during Vietnam War.
Professionally David worked as a manager in the restaurant and hotel business. He was known to be a "jokester" by his family and friends. In his youth, David was an avid bike rider. David liked to spend time outdoors fishing and time with his grandson. He also spent hours working on puzzles and watching his favorites shows, which include the news, Criminal Minds, NCIS and The Rookie. Watching the Ohio Buckeyes and Kansas City Chiefs was another thing David enjoyed. Trying his luck at getting the "big win" at the casino was a common past time for David.
David was a Christian by faith.
