David Leslie Gauch, 56, of Curryville, Mo. formerly of Hannibal, Mo. passed away at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles, Mo.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 10, 2014 at the Smith Funeral Home and Chapel. Pastor Mark Burkey will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service Monday at the Smith Funeral Home and Chapel.
David was born February 6, 1957 in Hannibal, Mo. the son of George L. Jr. and Catherine M. (Knight) Gauch.
Survivors include his mother, Cathy Gauch Morgan of Hannibal, Mo; one son, Matthew David Gauch of Hannibal, Mo; ex-wife, Brenda Gauch Riddle of Hannibal, Mo; loving long term friend, Kathy Kindle of Curryville, Mo; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Mr. Gauch was preceded in death by father, George L. Gauch, Jr., two sisters, Helen and Ellen Gauch, and one brother, James "Jimmy" Gauch.
David was a Christian by faith. He worked several years at the Huntin-Hut in Hannibal. David was a member of the North America Fishing Club, he also enjoyed hunting, target shooting and spending time with his family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Treaster, Mike Treaster, Steven Treaster, Kris Kincaide, Darrell Harrison and Bill Gauch.
Memorials may be made to the family, in care of Smith Funeral Home and Chapel.
