Darrell Ray Gibbons

Darrell Ray Gibbons, age 62, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 7:47 pm Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at his home.

There are no services planned at this time.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.

Darrell was born on August 25, 1960, in Hannibal, MO the son of Virgil and Helen (King) Gibbons.

Survivors include his daughter, Ashley Gibbons (Qion Dorsey) of Mexico, MO; five grandchildren, Hayleigh Arch, Haven Arch, Keaton Arch, Kealei Dorsey and Markel Dorsey.  Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Brian Broughton of Hannibal, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Virgil Gibbons, Ronnie Gibbons and Mark Gibbons.

Darrell graduated from high school and entered the workforce.

Professionally Darrell worked as a Laborer for Watlow and Manchester Tank.

Darrell was known as a simple man that enjoyed simple things in life such as hanging out with friends or watching America's Got Talent and crime shows. He enjoyed family gatherings and the companionship of his dog Izzy.
