Danny Wesley Ledbetter

Danny Wesley Ledbetter, 67, of New London, Mo. passed away at 12:10 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 2017, at Hannibal Regional Hospital. A memorial gathering will be held 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Thursday, July 20, 2017, at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel. Danny was born on September 25, 1949 in Hannibal, Mo. the son of Arlie and Dorothy (Stephens) Ledbetter. Survivors include two daughters, Angela Ledbetter and Kari Ledbetter of New London, Mo.; one sister, Arlene Hudson of New London, Mo.; five grandchildren, Shawn, Abbie, Cannon, Geno and Siris Ledbetter; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Ledbetter was preceded in death by his parents. Danny professionally worked on computers, this was something that he enjoyed. Danny was a simple man, he cherished traveling across the United States, taking in God's creation, piddling around the house and yard, the company of his dog "Ginger" and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Ledbetter was a Christian by faith. Memorial contributions may be made to NEMO Humane Society or the family to assist with funeral cost, in care of the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.
