Daniel Paul Throndson

Daniel Paul Throndson, age 61, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 7:28 pm Monday, March 22, 2021.

A private family memorial service will be held Monday, March 29, 2021 at Smith Funeral Home & Chapel. Pastor Stacie Williams will officiate.  Inurnment will be later this summer in the Grand View Burial Park Columbarium.

The service will be live streamed on Dan's memorial page below his obituary at www.smithfuneralhomeandchapel.com.  The live stream will start a few minutes before 7:00 pm Monday, March 29, 2021.

Daniel was born on August 8, 1959, in New Hampton, IA the son of Robert and Arlean (Pitz) Throndson.

Survivors included wife, Holly Throndson of the home, son, Mitchum Throndson of Hannibal, MO; daughter, Alisha Throndson of Springfield, MO; brother, Roger Throndson (Darla) of Galveston, TX; sister, Janet Rouse (Edwin) of Kirksville, MO; father and mother-in-law, Buddy and Beth Tarleton of Hannibal, MO; sister and brother-in-law, Jeff and Meredith Van Tress of Hannibal, MO; and nephews, Scott Throndson (Amie), Colton Andrews and Owen Andrews.

In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by a brother, William "Bill" Throndson, and a niece, Carrie Rouse.

Dan graduated from Adair County R-1 High School in Novinger, MO and went on to further his education at Northeast Missouri State University.

Professionally Dan worked as an Engineering Technician for Howe Company, LLC.

Dan had a passion for automobiles and motorcycles.  In his earlier years he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and more recently enjoyed driving his 2018 Ford Mustang and taking it to car shows.  Dan was also very meticulous about his yard and home and could always be found remodeling his home or working in the yard doing landscaping projects.  Dan also enjoyed barbequing, spending time with his dog "Maggie" and cherished the time spent with his family. Dan was a Catholic by faith.

Memorial contributions may be made to Northeast Missouri Humane Society or Cuddle Cat Rescue, in care of the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.
