Charles E (Chuck) Cosgrove

Charles E. (Chuck) Cosgrove, 91, of Hannibal, Mo. formerly of Quincy,Ill. died at 8:35 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012 at Christian Hospital Northeast in St. Louis, Mo. Memorial graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2012 at Greenmount Cemetery in Quincy, Ill., Rev. Rebecca Dunger Peak will officiate. Masonic services will be conducted by Herman Lodge No. 39, A.F. & A.M. Charles was born July 21, 1921 to Charles and Amelia Webster Cosgrove. He married Agnes Whipple Cosgrove who preceded him in death. Survivors include two sons, Jack Cosgrove of Bartow, Fl. and Don Cosgrove of Hannibal. One daughter, Shara Cosgrove Howze of Bartow, Fl. and 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Charles retired from Harris Corporation Broadcasting Division. He was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of W.W. II and participated in the first honor flight from Hannibal. He was a member of Park United Methodist Church. He graduated from Hannibal High School, class of 1939. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to Park United Methodist Church in care of Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.
