Caroline Ann (Webster) Simms

Caroline Ann (Webster) Simms, age 89, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 9:50 pm Monday, June 8, 2020, at her daughter’s home. Per Caroline's request there are no services being held. Cremation arrangements are being handled by the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel of Hannibal. Caroline was born April 18, 1931, in Hannibal, MO, the daughter of Lawrence Everett “Bud” and Doris Rose (Goleman) Webster. She was united in marriage to Harold William “Bill” Simms on July 3, 1949. Survivors include five daughters, Tara Osborne (Brian), Tinda Littrell (Kenny), Tykie Hayden (Tim), and Tracie Munger (Kevin) all of Hannibal, and Tori Hoffman (Kevin) of Michigan; daughter-in-law, Dee Dee Simms of Hannibal; eighteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Caroline was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Christopher Simms; brother, Everett Webster; sisters, Dean Watters and Jackie Nuss; grandson, Erick Munger and great grandchild, Angel Armenta. Caroline graduated from Hannibal High School in 1949. She previously worked at Western Publishing and later retired from the housekeeping department at Beth Haven Nursing Home. Many things in life made Caroline happy such as fishing, gardening, and crocheting.  Caroline could be found on many occasions reading, working crossword puzzles, and listening to country and western music. Caroline's love was the time spent with her family and friends especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Caroline was a patriotic woman loved her country and was a member of the Emmette J. Shields American Legion Post #55 . Memorial contributions may be made to the James E.
