Carol L. Davis

Carol L. Davis, 69, of Hannibal, died at 1:53 a.m., Thursday, December 27, 2012, at Hannibal Regional Hospital. Graveside Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Andrew Chapel Cemetery, west of Warren, MO. Rev. Jeff Anderson will officiate. There will be no visitation. Smith Funeral Home & Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Carol was born in Hannibal on December 24, 1943, a daughter of Evelyn Carroll Bohon. She was married to James R. Davis in Palmyra, on May 2, 1986. He survives along with a son, Scott (Jamie) Schappaugh of Hannibal; a daughter, Penny Bridgman of Hannibal; and a stepson, J. R. Davis of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Other survivors include five grandchildren, Justin Douse of Hannibal, Brandon Owens of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Tatum Schappaugh , Tristian Schappaugh, and Talieya Schappaugh of Hannibal; as well as a sister-in-law, Diana Christensen and brother-in-law John Christensen. Carol was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Michael McQueary. Carol was a graduate of Monroe City High School. She was a member of and baptized in the Monroe City First Baptist Church. She was assistant manager of the Family Dollar store in Steamboat Bend Shopping Center Pallbearers will be J. R. Davis, Brandon Owens, John Bridgman, Shane Decker, Mike Elzea and Jeff Goodwin.
