Betsy Ann Mckay Loch

Betsy Ann (McKay) Loch, age 81, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 7:40 pm Monday, August 12, 2024, at University Hospital in Columbia, MO.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel. Pastor Anthony Schindler will officiate.

Visitation celebrating Betsy Ann Loch will be held at 1:00 pm until the time of the service Tuesday at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.

Betsy was born on September 10, 1942, in Hannibal, MO the daughter of Charles and Doris (Troppman) McKay.

She was united in marriage to Wayne E. Loch on March 12, 1982, he preceded her in death on June 3, 2013.

Survivors include her brother, P. Michael McKay and wife Margaret, nephew, Jeffrey McKay and wife Krista; great niece, Kennedy McKay and great-great nephew, Knox Jarman all of Hannibal, MO. Other survivors include Betsy's step children, Morgan, Mitchell, Nancy, Wilson and Corbitt.

Mrs. Loch was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Betsy graduated from Hannibal High School and went to work all her working career as a Civil Service worker at Mac Air Command.

In 1986, Betsy and Wayne retired to Fairhope, AL.  In 2020 Betsy moved back to Hannibal to be close to her family.  Betsy biggest love was her family and the time spent with them was always cherished.

Betsy attended Immanuel Baptist Church, where she was active in the Shoe Box Ministries.
